TypeTags .IntlDateTimeFormat

Overview

The Intl.DateTimeFormat object enables language-sensitive date and time formatting.

Usage

import { TypeTags } from 'typetags'
const date = new Date(Date.UTC(2020, 11, 20, 3, 23, 16, 738))
let us = new Intl.DateTimeFormat('en-US')
TypeTags.get(us)
// → [object Intl.DateTimeFormat]
console.log(us.format(date))
// expected output: '12/20/2020'
let pt = new Intl.DateTimeFormat('pt-BR')
TypeTags.get(pt)
// → [object Intl.DateTimeFormat]
console.log(pt.format(date))
// expected output: '20/12/2020'

Predicate

.isIntlDateTimeFormat(value)

  • Checks if value is or has a default IntlDateTimeFormat type tag.
const { TypeTags } = require('typetags')
let english = new Intl.DateTimeFormat('en')
TypeTags.isIntlDateTimeFormat(english)
// → true
TypeTags.isIntlDateTimeFormat(english.toString())
// → true
